Therapeutic exercises assist the chiropractic adjustment through maintaining flexibility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function.
What is therapeutic exercise?
Exercises are personalized to your goals to assist the chiropractic adjustment in creating long-lasting results. They help to restore proper joint function and alignment, which can alleviate pain and improve mobility. In addition, these exercises help to strengthen muscles that support the spine and surrounding structures, reducing the risk of future injuries or reoccurrence of symptoms.
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization exercises are often given, which is based on developmental kinesiology.
How will I receive the exercise program?
Exercises can be found in an app, with a unique login and program designed just for you. You can check off once it’s been completed to provide more patient accountability. The exericses will sometimes be performed in the office and/or at home under guidance.
What kinds of exercises do you prescribe?
They involve a combination of:
- Strength training
- Mechanic modifications
- Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization
- Range of motion
- Balance and coordination training
- Stretching and flexibility
