Sports Chiropractor at the 2023 World Sport Games in Cervia, Italy

What an amazing week I just had in Cervia, Italy.  With my team of sports chiropractors, we provided 750 treatments to athletes, coaches, officials, and referees at the World Sports Games.

The World Sports Games is an international sporting event that takes place every two years and involves 6000 athletes.  With the games bringing together athletes from around the globe, it’s essential to have a skilled and experienced chiropractors as part of the medical staff.  From preventive treatments to injury management, sports chiropractors provide personalized care tailored to each athlete’s unique needs.

I was part of an organized team of 23 chiropractors through FICS, the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic. A team is necessary because there are several events occurring throughout the day, at different locations throughout the area.  For example, at the beaches, tennis courts, and swimming pools simultaneously. This was an invaluable experience to enhance my skills and knowledge, from working with the medical staff and other top notch chiropractors.

The event includes both competitive and non-competitive sports, cultural exchange, and lots of fun. This event is for amateurs of all ages, genders, from various countries and cultures around the world. It’s as much about creating a lively festival for sports enthusiasts to come together and celebrate cultural diversity, as it is about the competitions.

Sports include: basketball, chess, dance, soccer, gymnastics, judo, hand-to-hand combat, karate, mamanet,  mini football, parasport, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling.

WSG was created to be the Olympics for the European worker’s. CSIT works in co-operation with the IOC (International Olympic Committee), GAISF & SportAccord (United Sports Federations), ICSSPE (International Council of Sport and Physical Education), EFPM (European Fair Play Movement), ISCA (International Sport and Culture Association), WADA(World Anti-Doping Agency), and more.
